Beam-based alignment at the Cooler Synchrotron COSY as a prerequisite for an electric dipole moment measurement

The J\"ulich Electric Dipole moment Investigation (JEDI) collaboration aims at a direct measurement of the Moment (EDM) protons and deuterons using storage ring. is based on polarization measurement. In order to reach highest accuracy, one has know exact trajectory through magnets, especially quadrupoles, avoid influence magnetic fields vector. this paper, development beam-based alignment technique described that was developed implemented COoler SYnchrotron (COSY) Forschungszentrum J\"ulich. Well aligned quadrupoles permit absolutely calibrate Beam Position Monitors (BPMs). method fact particle beam, which does not pass center quadrupole, experiences deflection. precision reached by approximately 40 micro meter. Some consequences for design new high ring EDM mesasurements are discussed.
